Thank you for taking the time to find me and look at my work. I take great pleasure in my work and hope that my passion shines through my chainsaw carvings.
Born in Knutsford (one of the last true Knutsfordians), I lived and travelled abroad for 25 years, before settling in the heart of the Cheshire countryside in the picturesque village of Rostherne, on the edge of Tatton Park, in 2003.
I started carving full-time over 15 years ago. All of my carvings are made from locally sourced wood, carved by chainsaw, with a small amount of finishing by power tool.
I pride myself on my attention to detail and my unorthodox style allows me to captures up-to-date studies like Minions, unexpected Moomins, as well as the more traditional Owls, Hares, Dogs, Signs and private commissions.
I find carving a form of therapeutic escapism and genuinely love my work: turning a piece of wood into a piece of art still thrills me.
I am a welcomed artist at major garden centres and farmers markets, and also supply direct to the National Trust. I work within schools, sometimes in conjunction with the children, in private gardens and nature reserves.
I perform carving demonstrations at events, which I thoroughly enjoy, almost as much as meeting the people attending.
Please just email me or call me if you wish to come and see my work - you will be warmly welcomed. I am also happy to come and see you/the site where you’d like to commission a sculpture of your own.
If you have any questions, I shall gladly answer them all!
I genuinely care that my customers are happy with their carvings and it gives me great pleasure when they are!
